Bieber is also one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 150 million records worldwide. He is credited with three Diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for "Baby", "Sorry" and "Despacito". He has received numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, 26 Billboard Music Awards, 18 American Music Awards, and many more. Apart from his music, he has also spent his time, money, and energy advocating for mental health issues like depression.

Bieber describing the inspiration for this album as such "In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet, we all crave healing and justice for humanity. In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone. Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united. Purpose is the fourth studio album by Canadian singer Justin Bieber. It was released through Def Jam Recordings and School Boy Records on November 13, 2015. Bieber declared that the song on this album are "bout growing, being in touch with yourself. What can I say, it's life experiences, and knowing that you can and get back up and keep going. Hope and faith, that's what's gotten me through this too, my faith. What I believe in. You're around some people sometimes and it might taint what you believe. I think that's what happened with me, I lowered my beliefs.". Purpose was considered by The Guardian's Caroline Sullivan as an album with the songs serving as "a regretful look back and a fresh start." The album's themes were also seen as a "giant apology – to his ex, Selena Gomez, and to his public, for various well-documented misdemeanors."

Believe is the third studio album by Canadian singer Justin Bieber, released on June 15, 2012, by Island Records. This album shows his efforts of him expanding his genre and shifting away from the “bubble-gum” pop that his previous albums were chock-full of. A very listenable album with songs that transport you back to a time where things were simple, and life didn’t feel pointless.
